Melanie Conner offers high-quality editorial and corporate visual communications through the following services:
- High-resolution digital still photography
- High-definition video production
- Multimedia productions including stills and audio
- Video editing
My experience
I cover news and corporate photography and multimedia assignments worldwide. My projects have ranged from scientific research in the Antarctic for the National Science Foundation, to cowboy poetry gatherings in Idaho for The New York Times, to documenting water use and policy in the Israel and the West Bank.
Some of my clients include The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Getty Images, The Oregonian, Portland General Electric, Iberdrola Renewables, Sustainable Business Consultants, The Lemelson Foundation and Compassion and Choices. I have interned in the White House Photo Office and have a master’s degree in photojournalism from the University of Missouri. I am represented by Zuma Press and sit on the Seattle board of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP).
My Mission
My job is to help your organization communicate its story with efficiency and creativity. I am proficient with the software and equipment required to bring you professional images and meet your deadline.
Each assignment, whether far and away or in my backyard, comes with its own logistical or environmental problems. I enjoy the detailed, collaborative and, sometimes, serendipitous process of lighting, photographing and problem solving on location.
I implement environmental practices in day-to-day business whenever possible, and the revenues from my commercial and editorial work help support my non-commissioned documentary projects on environmental research and social change.
Thanks again for visiting my website. Please call or email if you are considering me for your next news, corporate or advertising assignment, or if you have any questions about my work.
