EXPERIENCE

Melanie Conner Photography is a media content production house that offers the highest technical and creative quality services. My studio has produced projects for corporations, media organizations and small businesses. Past projects range from scientific research, large-scale energy projects, corporate portraits for small and large businesses, to news and feature stories. The scope of these projecs have included timelapse photography, short-form HD DSLR web films, still photography, and video editing.

Past and current clients include Portland General Electric, Iberdrola Renewables, Sustainable Business Consultants, The Lemelson Foundation, PCC Farmland Trust, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Getty Images. I am a board member of the Seattle Chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP). I have a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri, and I am an Apple Certicified Professional for Final Cut Pro editing software.

GOALS

As a former journalist, I am trained in the art and craft of visual story telling. My team can help your organization communicate its story creatively, effectively and efficiently, using photography, HDSLR cinematic video, audio, or a combination of all three. My studio has the technical software, expertise, experience and equipment required to deliver professional images - on deadline.

Each assignment, whether far and away or in my backyard, comes with its own logistical or environmental challenges. The detailed, collaborative and, sometimes, serendipitous process of filming, lighting, photographing and problem solving on location is what makes my job fun, and helps you meet your goals.
